Penny for Your Thoughts Evaluation Campaign Continues - December Winner Announced

Jill McAbee, an assistant nurse manager with Palmetto Health Richland’s PICU, was randomly selected from our pool of participants as the December winner of our "Penny for Your Thoughts" campaign. This program offers simulation center participants and instructors the ability to win a $25 dollar gift certificate through a monthly drawing after completing a short evaluation about their simulation activity. We have received
some great feedback with the surveys and we ask people to continue. Remember to complete the survey about your activity and get entered to win!

Enhancing SIMULATION Act to be Reintroduced in Congress in Early 2009

On December 6, 2007, Reps. Randy Forbes (R-VA) and Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) introduced a bill, H.R. 4321, the "Enhancing SIMULATION (Safety in Medicine Utilizing Leading Advanced Simulation Technologies to Improve Outcomes Now) Act" of 2007. When the new Congress comes into session in early 2009, this bill will be reintroduced under a new number, but will remain largely unchanged from its original form. For more information about this ground-breaking legislation and how to support it, please go to the AIMS website at www.medsim.org. Also, look for updates on advocacy initiatives on the Society for Simulation in Healthcare website at www.ssih.org.
